Brock is the first Gym Leader you encounter on your journey. He is located in Pewter City and is a Rock-type specialist. He gives the TM Rock Tomb & also gives an EXP Share when defeated.
Brock can also be found in Elegant Valley as a daily trainer in the trainer battle cave, giving the TM Rock Slide if defeated.
Battle Tips[]
He can be defeated easily with a Squirtle or Bulbasaur with enough training, but if you chose Charmander then your best choice would be a Butterfree at level 12+ or a fighting type like Mankey or Heracross. If you do choose Charmander, you can also teach it Metal Claw, which is super effective and Dragon Rage which is enough to take down his Pokémon to their Sturdy.
